It all started in '87. There I was in the San Fernando Valley, punk skater kid just mobben all of SoCal with a skateboard, a 3 finger marker, and a fake buss pass. It was BAD ASS. This is where I developed my design ethic. Stay fly, spit slick and NEVER get caught slippen. I rolled w some heavy hitters in the Graph game... Hex, Omega, Shot, Smurf, UTI STP KRS USC NBT Respect! Shot out to the Belmont Yard.
Then in 93. Moms traded in her photostat camera for a Apple Quadra 650, our households first computer.
It was like discovering fire. I taught my self PhotoShop 2.5 making my own Magic Cards. My graph training gave me a wonderful eye for color and balance. Soon I was helpen Moms layout designs for her clients.
Forward to 2000- I Realize that Graphics are the future of everything and that paper is dead. I enrolled in UCLA Extension Program, taking specifically classes about Adobe products, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Director, etc. There I saw UCLA graduates with various degree all going back to school to learn graphics...I was like fuck the degree I'ma save all that time and money and just go for it.
Great decision.
The next 7 years I would apprentice under Moms expert abilities. We tackled all types of design, from vehicle wraps to on-line moving graphics to DVD portfolios. She refined me and coached me into the top designer I am today.
In 2007 I felt ready to make the leap and fly on my own. CARD1Publications was formed and I've been steady mobben Central Oregon eva since. If you're in Bend, you've seen my logo up.
2010. All I got to say is WATCH OUT! I've tasted what I like and I'm going for it like never before.
Get ready to have your mind blown!
